WIP - Star Wars: Imperial Prison Barge

Modeling started July 23, 2020.
Lately I’ve gained an interest in obscure Star Wars ships and modeling them just to give them some love. This Imperial Prison Barge only appears in one comic, with only 4 exterior shots. Its an incredibly tough project given the inconsistency of the ship’s design and several aspects of the ship not fully flushed out, such as the back and underside. The greebling is also very messy due to the haste in which it was drawn, resulting in a ton of impossible geometry and difficult intricacies. The ship looks untextured, but in truth it’s just a subtle Blender-generated texture. It is in part due to trying to stick to the traditional Imperial look: white/light grey mottled metal panels and chaotic greebling.
I have plenty of work left to do, mostly making greebles, designing the bottom, and tweaking generated geometry in the trenches. So far I’m at around 130 hours of work (mostly interpreting the comic art’s difficult detailing). For now much of the ship’s detail remains from the rough draft of the ship.
Many thanks to the Fractalsponge Discord group for their volunteered design input and for helping me understand the software

The turrets are very obscure in the comic, so these are essentially made-up
